highlights: As the sun begins its descent, make your way to our enchanting River Island Outpost for an evening that promises to be as sweet as it is unforgettable – Gourmet S'mores!
Upon arrival, take a moment to soak in the serene atmosphere of our Outpost. Hammocks, swings, restrooms, and changing rooms await you during our breezy 30-minute check-in process. Here, you'll make a choice: glide on our pontoon boat or paddle your own single or tandem kayak, guided by our expert alongside you, for a half-mile journey down the river to our secluded island.
(Please note that sometimes the island might be inaccessible due to weather or flooding in that case we will do the s'mores bar at the Outpost).
As we navigate the river's gentle curves and turn the corner, behold the magic unfold before you. The island comes to life with the warm glow of tiki torches, a crackling fire pit, and the twinkle of beautiful bistro lights. Once everyone is comfortably settled on the island, our guides will offer a brief tour and answer any burning questions you may have.
Beside the inviting fire pit awaits the pièce de résistance – our Gourmet S'mores bar. Here, you'll find all the fixings and instructions to create six tantalizing s'mores variations. Equipped with headlamps for island exploration and life vests for paddlers, everyone is set to indulge in this gooey, chocolaty delight. Roasting sticks and bottled water are, of course, on the house.
After relishing as many s'mores as your heart desires, we will play our Barred Owl call over our speaker and watch to see if any of our feathered friends swoop down to join us for a bit. It is an amazing experience to see these beautiful creatures up close!
We will then head back up the river to our Outpost, wrapping up this magical journey under the canvas of the night sky. Sunset S'mores – where every bite is a sweet memory in the making.
